Lucía Rosmarino.
Biography.
Lucía Rosmarino, born in Montevideo in 1991, is a dedicated professor of children's literature at elementary schools in Uruguay. Passionate about historical fiction, she believes that the intersection of history and literature provides a unique lens to understand human decisions better and examine them from a personal perspective. This fascination led her to devote her Master's thesis in Children's and Youth Literature to the depiction of wars and dictatorships in children's books, as well as the study of memory construction and transmission possibilities within school environments.
Currently, Lucía conducts workshops for both children and adults on this theme in Montevideo. She is also participating in the Art residency, conference, and workshop series “War & Dictatorship in Children's Literature – How to Talk About It to the Youngest?” organized by Sjj agency in Spain and France in January 2025. Lucía co-authored the war-themed children's book "Sous le Chateau" with Maëla Barçon and Sylvie Joseph-Julien.
