Biography.
 

Stéphane Morvan is a renowned French luthier and flute maker celebrated for his exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to the art of the flute. Growing up in a musical family, he developed a passion for the wooden flute, honing his technique with the help of local musicians. His experience was further enriched by playing in bands like JAPHTAL, which he founded, blending Breton music with Indian rhythms.

 

His passion for flute making began in the 90s when he started crafting flutes for himself. In 2005, he established his own flute-making business. Today, Stéphane works professionally from his workshop in Finistère, Brittany, where he combines traditional techniques with modern innovations to ensure exceptional quality.

 

Stéphane Morvan has built a reputation for creating high-quality flutes, appreciated worldwide for their superior tone and exquisite craftsmanship. He has earned acclaim at exhibitions and events, with his instruments praised for their rich, resonant sound and ease of play. His expertise continues to influence new generations of luthiers.
