Sylvie Cote.

Biography.
With a Malagasy background, Sylvie Cote holds a teaching degree from the French Ministry of National Education. Over her 20-year career, she has taught in French schools across Madagascar, Réunion Island, and Tunisia, fostering learning in multilingual and multicultural environments. Since 2021, she has led the French curriculum for 2nd-grade and middle school students.
In 2024, she joined French Immersion School of Washington’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, contributing to its mission with dedication and expertise.
At the 2025 traveling festival Les Troubadours de la Littérature Jeunesse, Sylvie Cote will be one of the guests at the round table “Diversity & Inclusion: How to talk to young people about it?” as a member of FISW's DEI Committee.
