Biography.

Hélène Ferret-Kaufman, also known as Ln, is an internationally trained cellist, educator, and cultural producer based on the U.S. West Coast. A graduate of leading European institutions, with a PHD in soloist interpretation and a master in teaching French as a foreign language, she has performed worldwide with prestigious orchestras and in major concert halls across Europe, North and South America, and Asia.

Alongside her performing career, education has always been central to her work. For more than fourteen years, she has taught music at the French American School of Puget Sound, where she designs and leads comprehensive programs combining instrumental practice, choral singing, music history, and interdisciplinary projects. Her teaching emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and cultural openness, making music a living language accessible to students of all ages.

Drawing on her dual identity as a performer and educator, Hélène develops educational and artistic projects that bridge professional music-making and pedagogy. Whether directing choirs and student bands or coordinating large-scale cultural initiatives, she approaches education as a space for transmission, empowerment, and international dialogue, nurturing both artistic rigor and human connection.
