Biography.

Elsa Brants was born in Montpellier in 1975. At 12, she was secretly influenced by the unlikely mix of Gotlib and Rumiko Takahashi (Lamu…) and decided to devote her life to Comics. Her first story, created on weekends and holidays, has more than 900 pages and still has no ending.
Ten years later, Elsa met Guillaume Lapeyre in a fanzine, and they decided to partner up professionally and romantically. Today, they are married, have two children, and have completed their first series “Les chroniques de Magon”, with Guillaume drawing and Elsa coloring.
Elsa has also colored several other albums. She drew her first manga on Greek myths, “Save Me Pythie”, where she managed everything from the script to the drawing.
In 2019, she returned with an autobiographical one-shot titled “Par Le Pouvoir des dessins animés” which tells her story and explains how manga has become so well-established in France.
In 2023, she was invited to the "Festival BD USA" in Seattle and was part of the jury of the "Concours BD international".
