Sylvie Joseph-Julien.

Sylvie Joseph-Julien is a passionate advocate for francophone arts and culture.

She founded Sjj agency, a platform that promotes cross-cultural and intergenerational dialogue through arts and literature. She launched the FESTIVAL BD USA, the first French-Belgian Comic Arts festival in the United States, in 2020, in collaboration with Jean Bastide, the renowned cartoonist of Billy & Buddy series.

She also has been developing LES TROUBADOURS, a francophone traveling book festival for young readers, families, and educators, since 2021.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the promotion of francophone arts and culture, she was awarded Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2021.

ie is also a storyteller, an aspiring author and editor of youth literature, exploring new ways of storytelling and expression, cofounding the publishing company LES MARMOTTES POLYGLOTTES in Seattle, WA.
